“Thoroughly enjoyed everything about l’Yeuse - not disappointed with anything at all.”
Everything was perfect—great view of the Charente valley, tasty meals on the terrace or in the beautiful dining room, friendly English‑speaking staff, intriguing artwork, and breakfasts full of local produce. Nothing to dislike at all!
“It was fine for one night but we probably wont return.”
The staff were very friendly and handed us our room early; the fish dinner was also great. However, the property looks extremely tired and clearly needs renovation.

Very pleasant stay with great help from Kate. The set‑menu dinner hit all the right notes for value, size, and taste, and the wine selection matched our palate perfectly. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide range of foods, and the introduction to regional Cognacs from the excellent cellar was a highlight. Unfortunately, our garden room (No 9) sat above a kitchen vent that was extremely noisy—opening the windows for fresh air was a nightmare, not a relief, and it was incredibly annoying!
