“Traditional VIP care that feels like a palace”
I was treated like a VIP by host Mohammed and his wife, who were incredibly kind and organized trips for us. They arranged for us to be picked up at the door by mules and taken to the monastery—a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience. Mohammed can also set up an overnight stay in a cave, another must‑do. The home felt very safe, and I appreciated the quieter, authentic Bedouin village atmosphere. The villagers welcomed me warmly, and because I was staying with Mohammed, a well‑known good person, supermarkets offered me local prices. From the property, you can walk into Petra and enjoy the moon, stars, and Petra mountains from the stunning balcony. The place is extremely clean, well‑decorated, and the shower is incredible, featuring a rain shower, jets, and a handheld hose—perfect after a day at Petra. We stayed four nights, and if you want to truly understand Bedouin families, stay here. His grandfather, him, and cousins look after the camels of the treasury, the shop, and the café. Mohammed gave excellent information about Petra and ensured our trip was flawless! I trust his advice, which comes straight from the heart. We were given space to relax and enjoy peace after busy days touring Petra. For a small extra cost, his wife can prepare the most delicious traditional food tailored to your choice. His children are delightful and extremely well‑behaved. The house is very beautiful and quiet; I nicknamed it the palace of Mohammed. Mohammed has dedicated his life to looking after his whole family and all visitors of Petra. Please come to stay here, book the mule ride to the monastery with Mohammed and Abdullah, and enjoy the company of Shakira and Michael Jackson. Mohammed was not only an excellent host but his family ensured we were safe and had an excellent time. All good.
