I didn’t understand what happened: I booked through the website, but when I arrived at the door, the person (via WhatsApp) told me there was no reservation, claiming I’d sent a confirmation message through a platform that doesn’t exist here and that I hadn’t confirmed. She said she doesn’t accept a single‑night stay of only 3 days. She didn’t explain how I managed to book, and if you try today you can only book a single night. Because the city was full, I think she chose to accept a higher‑paying guest who knocked on the door instead of honoring my reservation that would have earned less profit, so to speak. I didn’t understand this at all.

The room was clean and organized, but when I arrived I was told my room had a shower problem and was being reserved for someone else, so they arbitrarily moved me to a different room. Aside from that, the room was tidy and well‑organized.

The lodge was under renovation and they didn’t warn us beforehand that it would be cancelled. The host told us at 19:30 that we’d have to find another place after we had already unloaded all our luggage into the room. We came back from a tour and there was no water for a shower, so we had to leave with a baby and search for a new hotel without knowing anything about the city. It was a terrible experience and showed a serious lack of professionalism.

Viviane, our host, was very kind and always helpful, and the lodge was right in the city centre, close to a pharmacy, a market and a bakery. The city itself is wonderful 💗 and the locals are very friendly.
