Leaving the B&B, the old city of Lecce itself was beautiful, but the bedrooms smelled of sewage, there was only one pillow on the bed and none were available, there were almost no coat hangers, it took a long time to get a reply and the answer was no, there was no bedding, only thin sheets, and it was cold.

The historic Palazzetto is stunning, just a short walk from the center, and the parking under the building has clear white lines.

The building was clean and well‑located, but the bathroom had a horrible sewage smell, the soap dispensers were empty, there were no bottled water or coffee pods even though breakfast wasn’t booked, and we never saw anyone; messages went unanswered, so we won’t return.

The room had a clean, comfortable bed and pillows and a good location, but the rooms were tiny, the shower was narrow, we stayed in two rooms—one had a window at the top, the other was dark and stuffy, and the shared fridge was broken.
