The location and cozy décor were nice. There were no coffee cups and only one milk cup at the coffee machine. Our room wasn’t checked in between, and nothing was replaced: a dropped band left blood on our sheets and a towel had stains… No milk or yoghurt at breakfast, and the kettle had no water.

Good location in one of the villages merged into Essen. No buffet, but the modest breakfast served at the table fit the low price.

The spot was great for our weekend, and the place was clean. Other guests were friendly. The stairs were steep for moving luggage. Rooms needed a makeover, a socket in the bathroom was hanging off the wall. The bed was very old and soft. Breakfast was basic and not impressive. No fire alarms or escape plan were visible.
