The 1770 Sovereign Lodge Retreat is a small, relaxed property in the heart of the Town of 1770, a 1-minute walk from the beach, local restaurants, park, and marina for water activities and tours. Four self-contained suites feature coastal décor with Balinese touches, air conditioning, ceiling fans, flat-screen TVs, and WiFi access. The place is gorgeous, but having two fridges without a washing machine feels like a missed opportunity; otherwise it’s a solid stay.

The spot was exactly where I paid for, but the downstairs unit let in a lot of noise from the upstairs room, so the separation isn’t good enough.

The location was fine, yet the room was filthy, infested with mice, and the upstairs apartment kept me up with its noise.

We stayed in unit 3 Lombok, which was spotless, the bed was comfy, the kitchen had plenty of gear, the pool area was nice, and the bathroom was good; unfortunately we had to leave early.
