“On The Water”

Great location right on the water, friendly staff, very clean, good breakfast, plenty of hot water, and there are pools and restaurants nearby. A large grocery store is also within walking distance. The only issue was that there was no wifi in my room.

“Perfect location but .....”

The property’s location couldn’t be better—next to the sea, waves audible with the windows open, a short walk to the beach and local restaurants, and the hosts were kind, helpful, and affable. However, the vibe felt more like a hostel than a guest house; we had to clear our own dishes after breakfast and load them into the dishwasher. There were almost no comforts in the room, balcony, or communal areas. The pillows were flat, lumpy, and offered no support, causing a terrible neck and back ache. The bedding and towels were worn, and neither the rooms nor the communal areas (except the kitchen) were cleaned during our four nights. I fell through a broken chair in the yoga room that had been left there without any warning. The balcony was lovely, but the outdoor wooden chairs were uncomfortable, so we couldn’t sit out at all; this, combined with a large group of guests who monopolised the terrace beneath us until 11 pm, made for an unrelaxing experience. The room was very hot and needed blackout curtains. Just disappointing—add a few modern comforts and updated furniture/bedding, and this guest house could win.

The location was unique and the accommodation was designed with a lot of love to detail. Unfortunately, the rooms were very warm and there was no fan (only in the gallery beds) or air conditioning.

“Dépaysant et chaleureux”

The place was gorgeous, and the house itself was lovely. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning.
