Haus Rether - Transylvanian Guesthouse

The location is great and the self‑catering facilities are fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need for self‑catering and was very clean! The staff were extremely friendly as well. Nothing really to complain about.

“Beautiful guesthouse”

This is an adorable guesthouse that was extremely comfortable to stay at along the via transilvanica. We were required to book 2 nights minimum but I ended up being glad about that. The beds are extremely comfortable. The room had air-conditioning which was so needed on hot August days. The breakfasts were fantastic. The woman there was so sweet. Even though she didnt speak English, we communicated with Google translate and she took good care of us. They had a few bikes to use as well which was fun to ride around the village. The internet didnt work well, which was fine for our situation but if you needed to get work done, it wouldve been difficult. I do wish they had an option for dinner, even if it was sandwhiches. There is nowhere to eat in town. But there is a small convenience store very close where you could get basics like bread and eggs. Its just difficult when walking the trail and wouldve been nice to have another food option

“Great stay”

We had a nice stay here; the accommodation looks good, the room was comfortable and clean, and communication with the owner was smooth. The price we paid was reasonable. I appreciated having access to the kitchen and the nice garden in the backyard.
