The room was nice but the price was not in line with the other 11 accommodations we stayed in Devon, it was too expensive. We were not informed that they would be closed the day we arrived. This caused us great angst because we couldn't even get in the building because they had not communicated with us regarding our room number or what the key code was to get in the room. Fortunately, a local woman came to our rescue who saw we were distressed and made some calls to get us into the building and our room. So, no staff whatsoever on the premises. This was the only uncomfortable experience we had in our 11 days of walking the South Hams Way trail
