“Amazing experience”

The staff, especially Noriko‑sama and her mother, were absolutely wonderful to be around, and the grounds are stunning. This temple and garden, tucked in a residential area, is kept in immaculate condition. The guest house itself follows traditional Japanese style with tatami and futons, yet it offers modern conveniences such as a kitchen, bathroom, and AC. If you get the chance to join the morning prayer, do so—it’s a beautiful ceremony. I couldn’t find anything to improve about this stay.

The renovations were absolutely stunning on a beautiful house set in a lovely temple garden, with hand‑applied plaster walls and beautiful woodwork. The breakfast was gorgeous and delicious. Noriko and her mother, Keiko, were wonderful, kind people; her mother is the temple priestess. The whole place has a wonderful feel to it. We loved it and felt as though they do this as a public service—generously giving to others.
