The spot was unbeatable – stunning views and a great location.
The view is out of this world, and the host was genuinely generous.
Breakfast was top‑notch and the spot among the reeds was a real treat.
The property was spotless, the kitchen fully equipped, and the beds and seating were very comfortable.

“Unique Stay, Rough Access”
The spot was truly special – a great mix of history, nature, and a relaxed vibe. The cabin itself was simple but cozy, feeling like home. The only hiccup was the rough road to get there, and I had to improvise without a cutting knife for veggies.
“Scenic but Unsafe”
The location is hard to miss, tucked away on a muddy path, but the surrounding scenery is worth it. Inside, though, there were many safety and maintenance issues: no fire alarm, missing gas flue, broken lights, a rotting bathroom floor, and weak door locks. The steep stairs and worn furniture made the stay feel more like a risk than a vacation.
“Peaceful Paddle‑Steamer Experience”
We enjoyed a lovely paddle‑steamer getaway with tranquil water views and a relaxed atmosphere. The vessel was clean, comfy, and well kept, and watching sunrise and sunset from the deck was unforgettable. The only downside was the low roof height, which felt a bit cramped for me.
“Great Host, Quiet Retreat”
Graham made the visit smooth – he was friendly, the place spotless, and the bed was super comfy. The setting was quiet and picturesque, perfect for unwinding.
“Comfort Needs a Boost”
Breakfast wasn’t offered, which was a let‑down. The upstairs room stayed cold because there’s no heating, and the lounge chairs were so uncomfortable they’d be better replaced with sofas. Lighting downstairs was poor, making the game area less enjoyable, and the showerhead was outdated. Small upgrades could make a big difference.
