The price was unbeatable, and the cruise staff’s communication through the app was prompt, ensuring every detail was sorted before we arrived. Our guide, Shenouda—handpicked by the cruise line—was not only a seasoned Egyptologist with deep knowledge, but also acted as the cruise company’s liaison, smoothing out all the usual hassles of traveling in Egypt. I would have trusted him to manage our entire Egyptian itinerary, not just the cruise, and I’d suggest doing so instead of arranging everything on your own. He clearly grasps what foreign tourists need, which is crucial in Egypt! The downside was that the Nile Treasure, our boat, felt a bit dated and less luxurious compared to other ships you’ll see docked elsewhere. If that’s not a concern, you can save a lot by choosing this option over pricier vessels with amenities you might never use.

The crew were incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to keep you happy and ensure a pleasant stay. The cabins were comfortable and reasonably sized for a cruise. The onboard food was tasty and varied daily, which is great because it keeps things from getting boring. I booked the cruise’s all-inclusive package and ran into a few issues: first, some key timing and distance details weren’t shared beforehand; second, every tour felt rushed, leaving us no time to stroll leisurely or snap photos.
