“NIE POLECAM TEGO HOSTELU”
The location was excellent—close to the beach and the metro, and the neighborhood feels very safe. The hostel’s beds are comfortable, and the curtains let you block out the other guests; there are lockers under the beds (bring your own lock), and the room cleanliness meets the standard. However, the bathrooms and toilets are a nightmare, especially the one on the second floor where the smell of feces is overwhelming regardless of cleaning, making it impossible to brush your teeth. It’s the only bathroom on that floor. The showers on the first floor are a mixed bag: half are non‑functional, the ceiling in the bathroom is collapsing, and the water pressure is almost zero, apparently to save money. A shower that should take 5 minutes ends up taking 15, and the shower room is freezing cold, leaving you shivering. Mold and mildew are everywhere, and overall the place is filthy, with many rooms stinking, especially the second‑floor bathrooms. The kitchen is neglected and many utensils need replacement. During my stay a fire broke out, the fire department arrived, but the building was not fully evacuated despite alarms; only a few people near the reception were moved, while those on the first and second floors were left in the toxic smoke from burned cables—a serious safety lapse. Reception service was mediocre: some staff were friendly, others were rude. I’m not a novice traveler; I’ve slept in many hostels solo, but I’ve never seen a hostel so bad, especially for the price I paid for four nights. I do not recommend this hostel.
