Hotel Sauerbrey

The staff were extremely friendly and engaged. The room was pleasantly warm; they don’t skimp on heating like many other hotels. The value for money at dinner and the quality of the food are very good, and you can sit in a cosy atmosphere in the restaurant at night. The hotel is in a suburb of Osterode, about 4 km from the centre. The carpet in the room shows obvious wear. Unfortunately, the wellness area has a very loud noise level, probably from a ventilation system, and this was also distinctly audible in the room when the window was open.

“I would stay at this hotel again if necessary”

A solid breakfast, though a few extra pastries would be nice; the hotel feels charming and very clean, and the swimming pool is lovely. However, Room 209, located under the eaves, is dark and a bit small, and I was alone in a double bed where only half the bed had been made.
