The place was spot on. Owner Richard was friendly and welcoming. It was quiet and away from town but not too far. The room was cosy, clean, and very comfortable, making it an ideal place to stay. Absolutely nothing to complain about; everything was good.

It was lovely and quiet. The bed was soft and inviting after a long day of visiting local attractions, and the homely feel was perfect for relaxing. The cleanliness was exceptional and everything was tidy. The only suggestion was that towels could be changed every two days or that an electric towel rail be provided for drying.

The rural setting was nice, and the owner was helpful at the start. When I arrived, he offered tea or coffee, made a pot of tea and a few biscuits, but mentioned there wasn’t much milk, so only a small amount was available for two cups. The milk was curdled. Another couple arrived and we heard the owner say no food because his wife was ill, but he hadn’t told us. He claimed there was a kitchen for drinks, yet there was still not enough milk, and he didn’t show us where we could go inside or what we could have. The bed was so hard that my husband and I didn’t sleep. At the back of one bedside table I found two empty medication boxes while using the plug socket behind the bed. A bathroom cabinet in the bedroom was unnecessary and dangerous, blocking the way to the bed; my husband hit the corner several times. The bathroom towels were small and rough, the toilet seat was loose and kept moving, and the toilet paper was cheap and thin. When we left in the morning, there was no hot drink because of no milk or breakfast options, so we politely told the owner we were leaving. He was in the living room talking on his phone; we said sorry and informed him we were leaving, but he didn’t even pause his conversation to respond, which seemed rude. The value for money was not good.
