Richard proved to be an excellent host, going above and beyond for us, and the room itself was very comfortable.

We enjoyed a great stay with Richard, who greeted us warmly from the start and was always ready to chat, enhancing our visit; the room was cozy, the view breathtaking, and Richard’s thoughtfulness and willingness to help made everything even better—definitely looking forward to returning.

The setting was beautiful, and although we booked a room, we were offered the cottage, which turned out to be lovely; everything else was fine.

Our stay at Duck Pond Lodge in Oudtshoorn was absolutely wonderful; Richard welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home right away, and after showing us the cottage we fell in love with it and chose to stay there instead of the room; the cottage is beautifully arranged, private, comfortable, and fully equipped for a relaxing getaway, so I would 100% recommend it especially to couples seeking a peaceful retreat or families of four; the setting is lovely, the accommodation spotless, and Richard’s hospitality truly made the stay special—definitely coming back just to see that view!
