“Good, with a little updating could be outstanding.”
The front‑desk team were warm and made us feel very welcome, and the housekeeping staff were lovely. The public areas looked nice but lacked personality, feeling very formal with security watching everyone as if they expected trouble constantly, which gave a strange impression. The restaurants served good food, but the drinks were incredibly expensive compared to other hotels. I would stay again, but there were a few issues: the rooms needed work, the furniture was a bit battered, our shower door was broken and the bathroom had cement, sealant, and dirt embedded from years of use. The beds were uncomfortable because the mattress savers were folded in the centre only, leaving the sides unsupported, so we rolled off them and the bedding felt damp due to the air‑con needing maintenance (though it was strong and worked). We were looking forward to visiting Kitty Su on Sunday night but were told it was a private party; later we learned tickets could be bought there, but it was too late.
