We asked for a specific room and it wasn’t ready when we got there, plus it took another 2 hours to fix a hot‑water problem; the furniture looked old and the room wasn’t very clean. Still, the staff tried hard to make up for all these issues.

The beach next to the hotel is nice, but it’s too rough for swimming. Inside the hotel, maintenance was poor: taps were broken, shower drains were blocked, the lift carpet was the dirtiest I’ve ever seen, the restaurant food was awful, and the staff were unhelpful. The only redeeming feature was the balcony with an ocean view.

We stayed again for a birthday celebration and the bed was nicely decorated with a tasty cake. The staff were excellent, the balcony was spacious and free of pigeons thanks to a net installed by management. The room stayed clean, and because it wasn’t busy we enjoyed a Sri Lankan breakfast with fresh fruit and freshly baked pastries. Looking forward to returning.

The location is perfect, right on the beach, and it’s worth the price. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, but the food left something to be desired.

I stayed one night and was upgraded to a Seaview room that had a bathtub on the balcony. The room was clean and had all the usual amenities like a kettle and mini‑fridge. The beach access was direct and convenient. Breakfast offered both western and Sri Lankan dishes, with eggs made to order. The staff were very friendly, and I’ll definitely come back. Highly recommended.
