The room was clean and the host was friendly and always around, and it’s pretty close to the center (though you have to climb stairs before you get there, but the city is there). Free street parking is available. The breakfast was minimal and offered no choice, even though the products were good. You’re asked for the breakfast time when you arrive because it’s done in a small kitchen and you have to take turns. The bed only had sheets, no duvet, and the TV was tiny.

The place sits in a strategic spot, out of the bustle of the historic center but just ten minutes on foot from the Sassi. You can easily park your car close to the apartment and leave it there for the whole stay in Matera (except for occasional trips around). The room has a private bathroom, is equipped with essentials, and is very clean. What really stood out for us was the welcome from Mr Nicola, who, with passion for his work, introduced us to Matera’s history, gave us tips, and answered all our questions. And most importantly, he started our day with a superb breakfast, carefully prepared with local specialties. We truly felt at “home”. If you love quiet and cozy accommodations, this is the place for you!!

“Cortesia e comodità”

The house is just a few minutes from the center, very clean and welcoming, with air conditioning in the room. It’s super easy to find free parking right nearby. The area is quiet. The breakfast is abundant and genuine, and Mr Nicola is affable, welcoming, and patient when answering all our questions.
