The J House Greenwich Hotel

“Loud, dirty, overpriced and tacky concept hotel”

I’ve traveled a lot, and this was by far the worst hotel experience. We requested a quiet room, yet they put us next to the pool where loud music blasted. The noise stopped at 7 pm, but when we returned we heard an even louder wedding party just steps from our room, with doors open. The pounding music persisted from 9 pm to midnight after we called and were told it would end at 10 pm. On top of that, there was black mold in the shower and the floor was filthy. The staff seemed confused and unhelpful; the desk clerk was surprised about the wedding and claimed it wasn’t their usual situation, but couldn’t explain the mold or dirty floor. We have photos of the mold, dirt, and a video of the party next to our room, and we’re demanding a full refund. Because we booked through Booking, they said they couldn’t give one.

“If you need easy access, excellent service and great rooms, choose the J House in Greenwich.”

The J House sits right between Norwalk to the north, Greenwich to the south, and Westchester County to the west, with a quick hop onto I‑95 to New York. If you’re into Italian, Tony’s in the hotel is a must‑try, and the Sunday brunch is outstanding. The hotel is dog friendly and the staff are incredibly welcoming to both you and your pet. The rooms are well equipped and spotless, and if you haven’t used a Japanese‑style toilet before, you’ll love it. The bar, receptions, birthday parties, and other group events make it a hotspot. Nothing negative at all—every stay over the years, whether visiting family or friends, has been a joy at the J House.

The location is great and the staff are fantastic. I can’t find anything to complain about.

Everything was great, especially the staff. The only downside was that the pool wasn’t heated as advertised.
