Great location, top‑class facilities, excellent spa, good breakfast, and very good rooms. The M restaurant was overwhelmed at dinner, had no sommelier, and the service, while eager, was understaffed.

We really loved the place. The room was especially huge and luxurious, the balcony enormous, and the breakfast indulgent (with vegetarian options). It was perfect.

A wonderful weekend in every way.

I was really impressed by how the hotel is set up, surrounded by nature. The rooms are great, although the bathrooms feel small compared to the room size. I didn't notice from the pictures that the room has a staircase and is split into two levels, which makes moving around a bit tricky. We arrived at 21h exhausted, and my older parents were upset because no one helped them with their luggage; my sister and I had to do it ourselves. Also, the restaurant and bar are closed on Mondays, and we couldn't even order an espresso at the end of the day.

The Deluxe rooms were nicely tailored, featuring a separate seating area with several chairs and a fantastic view over the garden and pool. The entire house was decorated with autumnal details and a lot of care! One must be aware that the resort is picturesque but far from the nearest larger town: although the address says Sarlat-la-Canéda, the first small town you reach after leaving is Vitrac. This means you’ll need longer drives for excursions, restaurant visits, etc., if you don’t just use the spa and the on‑site restaurant, whose menu doesn’t change daily. The food is described with poetic names and an exotic flair that feels like Nouvelle Cuisine. Portions were tiny, many raw starters (e.g., fish, no sushi), and the price level was quite high. However, the amuse‑bouche was a pleasure every time. The dining area is brightly lit—there’s a bit of a lack of ambient lighting, and sometimes you sit with a view of the evening‑packed breakfast area with the coffee machine, etc.; a partition with sliding doors, curtains, or a screen might be nicer. Walking around the resort was pleasant, but many areas were inaccessible, and there were no benches or garden chairs to relax, perhaps due to the season.
