Posthotel Pfunds

The hotel is very spacious and bright, but the rooms on the second floor of the main building are under the sloping roof. If you’re 1.7 m tall like me, you’ll hit your head on the ceiling unless you’re constantly careful, which is exhausting. On top of that, the rooms are too expensive.

The room was fine and we were housed in the annex building. We arrived around 17:30 on motorcycles after touring the French and Swiss Alps. In the French and Swiss hotels we had stayed before, no passport was asked at check‑in, yet despite booking through Booking we had to painstakingly provide all our details again. “Great Hotel especially if you travel by motorcycle.”

I’ve stayed at the Posthotel before and came back this year; I can’t find anything to criticize. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, we travelled by motorcycle and there’s a bike shed for parking, plus tools are available. The pool was a welcome sight after a hot day riding around the mountains, and there’s plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy a beer in the sun. Nothing else to note.
