A good hotel with nice rooms and a rooftop terrace offering a beautiful view. After checkout time we were allowed to use the hotel’s facilities until we left for the airport. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar staff were not very flexible or service‑oriented. To have food/drink added to the room bill, we first had to open an invoice at reception in a very cumbersome way (even though we were hotel guests and they already had our details). When we asked if we could get a lime wedge in our beer, we were told it was an extra charge. Hilarious. A 10 % tip is automatically added, which is normal in Guatemala, but don’t forget to provide a little service.
