The hotel sits just a 15‑minute walk from West Lake, and the path is easy to navigate; there are convenience stores nearby. I booked two rooms – a family room and a double – but the staff, who don’t speak English, handed us the keys about an hour after the official check‑in time, and we still had to wait for the rooms to be ready. They gave me the double room first, which had three key cards; after asking twice, I was told it was for three people. My friend was able to settle in after 15 minutes, but I didn’t receive my second room until later. When I opened the door, I discovered that the second room was actually the family room, so my friend had to rearrange the double room for me and then move down to the lower floor. Since the rooms were on different floors, every time we met we had to go down to the first floor and then back up again.

“Great service.”

The staff were extremely helpful; when we were debating directions, someone from the front desk stepped out of their counter to assist us. The warm porridge at night and the self‑service laundry were great conveniences for families with kids. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean. No complaints.

The value for money is excellent, the room is well equipped, the bath and shower towels are wrapped and sealed for great hygiene, and the public areas are classy with a pleasant fragrance that follows you into your room. You’ll see autonomous robots in the common areas, a top modern touch. The breakfast is below the hotel’s standard, and the free evening buffet is subpar with stale items; there’s no tea, no water, and it would be better to remove this offer entirely. If you don’t speak Chinese, communication will be very difficult because few staff speak English and even those who do are poor speakers.
