“An antique fairytale”
The room was glorious—retro style, beautifully restored, feeling like a trip back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It had an antique bathtub, a separate toilet with a bidet, a nice sink and mirror, a very comfortable bed, an antique wardrobe that held all my clothes, and outstanding chairs and a table. The whole place felt tranquil and historic, and it’s close to the edge of Plovdiv’s Old Town, so plenty of restaurants and bars were nearby. The staff were polite; they left me a key and instructions (check‑in was until 6 PM and I arrived at 6:30) and the breakfast was modest but tasty, with outstanding coffee. I’d definitely want to stay longer next time. Everything was fine; the room was a bit dim, but that’s because the lamps matched the historic look.
