We spent one night at this cozy hotel managed by two welcoming locals, and the homemade breakfast—fresh fruit, local curd, coconut crepes, and more—was a real treat; the garden, alive with birds and a giant squirrel, was lovely. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well‑furnished, and the place was just a short walk from Rekawa beach. The only downside was the lack of activities nearby, aside from beach walks and turtle watching.

The hosts were genuinely warm and never tried to upsell; they were just friendly people. The huge room was surrounded by a lush garden teeming with animals and exotic plants, making birdwatching a delight; I even tasted tamarind from a tree and spotted a giant black squirrel. There are several dining options close by, and the beach is less than a 10‑minute walk. Stay here and you won’t regret it. Nothing negative to add.

The garden was stunning, full of various birds. Every morning the breakfast was delicious, varied, and served with great care. The staff were very kind. The shower wasn’t very practical, as is often the case in Sri Lanka, but that was just a minor anecdote.
