The room was very nice, and sleeping with the windows open was so peaceful. The staff were extremely pleasant. Breakfast was over the top—incredible. I would have liked a shower, but relaxing in a nice tub wasn’t bad.

The building and interior were good, and the bed was comfortable. The toilet in the room didn’t feel private enough. There was no parking at the venue, and the place isn’t very soundproof; if neighbours are loud you’ll hear them.

This hotel is beautiful with unique décor and rooms. We stayed here with our wedding party for the ceremony in Sintra. It was convenient and nice, and everyone loved their rooms. Breakfast was delicious, and the sister hotel down the street had a nice pool and entertainment we could use, even Fado music one night. The rooms were fairly quiet, but we could still hear the next room clearly. Otherwise everything was perfect! The showers were actually baths instead of proper showers, and a few of us had trouble getting hot water.

We loved the hotel's location and decor. We loved the happy hour wine reception at their sister hotel. We loved the breakfast on the veranda. We loved the bedding and showers. We felt fortunate to find street parking directly in front of the hotel. Check-in was tricky, as we had no means or directions to contact the hotel staff to let them know that we had arrived. We also felt bad for the kitchen staff one morning when guests were getting frustrated and there were only two people working. But the only really hard part of the stay was that the air conditioning failed to work in the afternoons when the heat was its hottest, and the beautiful stonework of the hotel absorbed the heat and radiated it into the rooms at night. We asked for assistance, but the hotel staff's instructions did not make sense or work once we followed them. Instead, we came up with our own solution: open the windows after the sun moved to another facade of the building, and leave them open until morning. This enabled us to sleep soundly and comfortably. I think it would have been better if the hotel staff understood this methodology and could explain it to guests, or if they could execute this procedure for guests on hot days
