We’d been here before, so we already knew the place was first‑rate, but stepping into the penthouse this time was something else. The décor is gorgeous, the layout feels just right, and the hosts were genuinely friendly. Even with the hotel full, it stayed surprisingly quiet – I’ve never slept better in a hotel.

The staff surprised us with a free upgrade to the penthouse, which was exactly what we needed as a senior couple – the space is beautiful and feels very welcoming. The only snag is the claw‑foot tub; it’s so narrow that we, at 5’4”, couldn’t fit comfortably, especially with our larger clothing sizes. A wider tub would make this otherwise perfect upgrade even better.

Bella Castle gave off a warm, inviting vibe from the moment we arrived; the building is charming, impeccably kept, and the rooms have all the little touches that make a stay feel special. Staff were friendly and eager to help, which added to the relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. It was such a pleasant experience in Morden that I’d gladly book another stay.

The room was tidy and had a lot of character, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – I slept like a log. Nothing stood out as a problem, so I left feeling completely satisfied.
