Breakfast was good and the place stayed clean. The only downside was that breakfast time could have been longer.

The location is far from ideal, close to the Dane County landfill, but they serve breakfast early every day. I returned to my room and found fresh linens, towels, soap, and a made bed. The continental breakfast was decent, featuring biscuits and gravy, cereals, a waffle press, juice, coffee, and more. They seem to be running a legitimate hotel and care about their guests, doing the small things right. Still, the location and facilities could use a facelift.

“I wasn’t expecting good, but it was just bad”

I stayed for 5 nights and the cleaning and maintenance crew were friendly, but there was mold in the toilet—no stains, just mold. They refused to move me to another room because the next day was fully booked, even though there were empty rooms that night; they said “it will be cleaned tomorrow.” The front desk swapped my king for a full, saying “because you’re one person.”

The pool was spotless and well maintained, and the breakfast spread was extensive, which was great. However, the pillows were terrible, and a ball of hair was found in the sheets even though the room had been cleaned.
