“Hidden gem but not for everybody”
We read many negative comments about this place, so we tried to stay objective and give a balanced view: we’re world travelers—mostly from SE Asia, India, and Indonesia—so our standards differ from Western Europe. If you’re from Germany, Switzerland, France, Poland, etc., this might not meet your expectations. For most other travelers and backpackers, the area is safe, even though it looks like a slum—similar to those in Saigon, Valletta, Hanoi, or Casablanca. The hotel is themed, a Disney character replica and a Marvel fan attraction. The rooms have no windows, but we’re used to windowless rooms in SE Asia. They’re clean, walls are thin, but it’s better than a shared 12‑bed hostel room. The décor is interesting, with a touch of Indian or Sri Lankan style that we appreciated. We slept well and walked to the airport the next day—35 minutes, 3.2 km. The neighborhood is full of car repair shops and mechanics, nothing dangerous. I could say that the north of Paris or Brussels is actually more dangerous. The only missing item was a water boiler/heater; it’s hard to understand why a 20 Eur Chinese water boiler isn’t available. We’ve stayed in many Italian places and it seems common: no water boiler. The three essentials you can’t miss are toilet paper, shower gel/soap, and a water boiler. Other than that, the place is worth a visit.
“Il paradiso terrestre per stare bene”
A beautiful experience.
“Bättre än ett vandrarhem men dom höll inte vad dom lovade.”
The price and friendly staff were good. The rent was too short‑lived; I could hear everything my neighbor was doing.
Our worst lodging experience (even though we travel a lot). We didn’t get the room we requested, and we didn’t get a refund for the cancelled room’s price. Nothing pleased us at this accommodation.
Like staying at home, it’s a heavenly paradise.
