It feels like a nice, cosy Kiwi family‑run place, close to the town centre and in a quiet leafy suburb. All advertised amenities were present and the floor space was good for our family; the beds were also nice and comfortable. There were plenty of outdoor areas for kids to run around and play, which was a great bonus. However, there were no air conditioners in the apartment we stayed in. We asked for fans and received two, which helped, but Cromwell gets really hot in the long summer evenings, so beware of that. It would be excellent to stay here in winter.

The setting was good and beautiful, but the shower and bathroom walls need a makeover; the vanity and toilet were fine.
