The hostal is tucked into the village of Bustarviejo in the heart of the Madrid mountains, and if you enjoy hiking you can tackle some great routes from there; you can also visit the mine and enjoy stunning views from almost any spot in the village. The area isn’t short on conveniences, with ATMs, supermarkets and bars nearby. The hostal itself is very welcoming and the staff treat you well, and the village reception is pleasant. The rooms do what they’re supposed to and are spacious and clean. I’m very happy with everything.
