The Schlosshotel zum Markgrafen, a 4-star castle hotel, is nestled in picturesque Quedlinburg. Elegant rooms, individually designed with classic furniture and TV, overlook the historic town. Amenities include a wellness area with sauna, fitness room, and solarium, wine cellar, and buffet breakfast. The hotel's towers offer panoramic views of Quedlinburg, a 1-minute walk from the historic market square.

We had a great room with a large bathroom, breakfast offered everything we wanted, the attentive service fulfilled our drink requests and quickly brought delicious fried eggs, and the view from the roof terrace is at least as good as from the nearby Star Gazer Tower; however, the balcony on our room had already been removed some time ago.

I was disappointed because the furniture is in desperate need of replacement; everything feels cheap and outdated.

Staying in a castle was a wonderful experience with a great location and very friendly staff, but the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable, and there were a lot of long foreign hairs everywhere. The rooms couldn’t be properly darkened, and the gym was very old and not really usable, which was a shame since that was also a reason I booked the hotel.

The location is fantastic, right on the edge of the city center, and it’s very quiet at night.
