Hotel Costa Verde

The hotel is set in an amazing natural setting. We were upgraded to a higher category free of charge, and the views from our room were spectacular, as were those from some of the pools. You can spot wildlife from the hotel (a troop of white‑eyed monkeys visited us during breakfast ☺️). The facilities are a bit dated and the décor is quirky. The hotel has restaurants and a breakfast bar that, from my perspective, is a bit pricey (though much of the Manuel Antonio area is similarly expensive).

The hotel is beautiful, easy to reach, and close to the sea. We received a free room upgrade. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was a bit pricey.

The staff were friendly, the scenery stunning, and the food at all nearby restaurants was good; prices were reasonable. Wildlife was abundant around the pool—monkeys, macaws, and iguanas appeared daily. The only downside was that many hills and stairs could be challenging for guests with limited mobility.

“The hotel grounds are beautiful but the rooms are lacking.”

The hotel area is very large with 2 really nice pools, the water was a perfect temperature, there was always available seating. You see monkeys and hummingbirds around the grounds which is lovely. They were generous with replacing towels for fresh dry ones as much as you want. The gardens are well kept. There is an on site coffee shop where you get breakfast but it closes at 11am, after that you can´t get a tea or coffee at the hotel. The coffee provided in the room is awful. there is nowhere to hang clothes in the room, between swimming in the pools and the activities in the rain and the humidity, always having wet clothing and nowhere to dry them is a real hassle. The decor of the rooms is dated, and the room was not very large for 4 people. The hotel is on a hill with a main road so if you don´t have a car it´s not comfortable to walk from the hotel to other areas

The location is surrounded by vegetation. No issues.
