“Estancia buena”
I liked it a lot, but the rooms were shared.
The location was good, but the rooms only have one general light, so if you’re on the top bunk and want to sleep while the lower bunk is still lit at 23:00, you can’t; the switch is at the door, so I had to go down at 23:15 to turn it off. A small investment in blackout curtains would vastly improve the experience, or better yet, give each bed its own light as many hostels do. For 66 € and the service offered, it feels like a rip-off.
“To be logical it is an acceptable place for a short 1 to-2 day stay due to its central location bu”
The main plus is the location near the city center, and the cleanliness was very good with housekeepers doing a great job on rooms, kitchen, and common areas; the bed quality was average. However, the staff experience was uneven—after a helpful staff member two days later, the initial staff I met provided poor service. The private luggage storage listed on Booking turned out to be an unlocked public space that staff claimed was private. Almost everything costs extra; it feels like only oxygen is free. The attitude and customer service of some staff were very disappointing; they are extremely rigid about check‑in and check‑out times, tracking every second rather than minutes, and enforce an 11:00 pm check‑out to the exact second with no flexibility, making the experience uncomfortable.
The reception staff were very helpful, yet the lower bunk lacked a curtain and the hostel is far from Sol station.
The staff were friendly and the service was good; I give it a solid point for the nice views, the calm atmosphere, and the good social vibe. Everything else was fine.
