The staff were courteous and the onsen facilities were fantastic. We had a great stay and got a genuine onsen experience. The beds were a bit hard, which is common in Japan since they’re mainly meant for local tourists.

The hotel’s breakfast was great and the hot‑spring pool was wonderful, but there’s no elevator inside, so I had to lug my large suitcase up to the second floor myself.

I could relax in silence. The room lacked a washbasin, toilet, and water facilities.

I couldn’t get in, but the pool was there and kids could enjoy it plenty! The outdoor hot spring was lukewarm.

We loved the onsen, indoor pool and the food, and appreciated the loaner Jenga and board games that kept us busy; next time we’ll also rent a bike for extra fun. A local guide took us to a nearby limestone cave where our family had a memorable adventure. The only downside was that the room we were shown lacked a bathroom and sink, forcing us to use the shared facilities for washing, which was a bit disappointing, and we’ll consider trying another wing that seemed to have better rooms on a future visit.
