The room was clean and comfortable, yet the location was horrible and extremely hard to find. The check‑in clerk was eating while finishing with the guest before me, still talking with food in her mouth when she started with me. The TV remote didn’t work, and a second seat would have helped while we ate dinner.

The location was good, but when we entered the room assigned to us it wasn’t cleaned. The front‑desk lady gave us a second room, which was also dirty. Finally, the third room we received was clean. They need staff who actually do their jobs.

Check‑in and check‑out went smoothly, and there were no issues during the stay, which is better than most. Breakfast, however, was abysmal.

It was close to the funeral home, which was the only reason we came to Michigan. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and badly stained, the floors were soaked, and after we switched rooms the next one smelled like bad body odor.
