Penzion Stará Celnice

The room was small but very cozy and clean, and the bed was quite comfortable (just the connected mattresses are a bit of a bad choice); otherwise we had everything we needed. Breakfast was complete, and the coffee (espresso) and tea were delightful and free all day. The pension is set in beautiful nature almost at the end of the world, but the drive in and parking are hassle‑free. Dinner was a small portion and had no soup.

The room is clean, spacious, tidy, with a mini‑fridge and blackout curtains on the top floor; the covered outdoor terrace offers a wide view and is fantastic. The breakfast is good, and the simple standard dinner matches the overall price and is tasty. The wellness area is a disappointment – it’s more name than reality, and there’s no option for a pre‑meal with extra payment (dinner is included in the price). We didn’t see any mosquitoes, so the lack of a mosquito net isn’t an issue, but the fire‑safety provisions could be improved.

The spot’s location is great for trips to the Karkonosze, and it’s quiet and peaceful; coffee and tea are always available.

We had stayed twice before at Penzion Mezi Buky and loved it, so when we booked this new place we were excited; the third visit was just as enjoyable, with a great breakfast, amazing views, and owners who thought of every detail, leaving us with no complaints and hoping to return.
