Everything—staff, pricing, location, and cleanliness—was excellent, and there were no complaints.
“Thoroughly enjoyed the vibe, feel, and look of the place. I felt safe, comfortable, and at home.”
I felt more at home than in a hostel; the facilities were clean and well-stocked, the host was available and attentive, and my bed was very comfortable. The other guests in the room were considerate, and most of the hostel’s occupants were on the Pacific Crest Trail. Over my stay of more than 5 days I saw about 4 different groups come through, all friendly and engaged in lively conversation. The World Cup was streamed on YouTube at the hostel, so we sometimes watched together, and a few people were attending the Shakespeare Festival. Overall the place had a very homey vibe and interesting people, far better than a hotel. I was very pleased and felt lucky to have found such a great spot and would definitely return. The downside was a nearby facility where people exercised early in the morning, which was distracting; closing the window helped a lot.
The location was convenient, but two people staying there woke me at 1:30 am and I had to sleep on the couch in the main area, so I basically didn’t sleep. When I told the staff they were unconcerned and did nothing to resolve it, I would like a refund for my stay.
“Avoid at all costs”
Nothing positive, but it was noisy; people were shouting in the kitchen at night.
“Freundlicher Gastwirt, funky Unterkunft und sehr preiswert.”
The accommodation was cheap and “funky,” and we received a discount when buying tickets for the theater; we’d like to visit again.
