Inget 😊

The breakfast featured freshly baked bread from the on‑site bakery, soft and plentiful, and the room was quiet with no heat, making the mornings cool and pleasant. They even gave me a piece of Mino‑yaki pottery as a gift. The only downside was that the location was a bit hard to find.

The host was amazing, going above and beyond by picking me up from the station, walking me to the local museum, recommending a good coin locker while I waited for my next bus after checkout, and generally being incredibly friendly. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Mashiko; I’d come back for sure. The cedar tub was a highlight! It’s a bit out of town, but that’s part of its charm if you’re looking for a quiet escape from the city. There’s nothing nearby for dinner, so grab food before heading back if you don’t have a car. A few dusty spots didn’t bother me much, but they might bother someone with allergies.

The owner was kind and even took the time to dry my wet rain gear carefully. The bath was relaxing and allowed me to unwind. It would have been better if dinner was included, and there are only a few restaurants open nearby.
