The room was lovely, and it was a pleasure to experience this type of traditional stay in Japan; the food was incredible, they catered to us being vegetarian and provided plenty of delicious dishes; the private onsen was amazing, and the host was very kind and friendly. Nothing else to add.

“Heerlijk verblijf met fantastisch eten voor een goede prijs.”

The room was spacious and clean, the staff were very friendly, and the public onsen was pleasant; the food was fantastic, so be sure to book the dinner. We really enjoyed it. The private onsen, however, seemed to have not been cleaned for a while; there was a lot of algae on the wood and the water looked a bit dirty.

“amazing”

This was the best experience we had in Japan—a beautiful traditional stay with excellent food; I don’t eat meat, and the hosts were kind enough to change the meal for me. The onsen was also very nice, and the surroundings are beautiful. If you want to try a traditional style stay, I recommend booking Ryokan Tanaka.
