It’s a relaxing weekend spot just a stone’s throw from Val d’Orcia, with a great, complete breakfast featuring local KM0 products, excellent daily dinner menus, and warm, helpful owners and staff. The second‑floor Standard room is spacious and clean, sharing a small fridge. The pool is open all day, well maintained, and shared with other guests. Minor improvements could be made, such as a more stable shower head and better window closures, but the rustic charm remains intact.

The location is beautiful, with an outdoor garden that has playground equipment for kids and a pool available to guests with umbrellas and sunbeds. There’s an outdoor restaurant under the porch, and the food is good. I understand the rustic/ancient vibe of the property, but the rooms feel a bit dated. One of the two rooms we booked (a triple) had a double bed instead of a single, and a very uncomfortable mattress on the floor.
