The hotel was just a stone's throw from the trailheads we wanted, and the little town felt really welcoming and cute. Only downside was that you really need to know a bit of German to get around comfortably.

Host was super friendly, the room spotless and comfy, and the location couldn't be better. Just keep in mind you’ll need your own car if you want to explore the surrounding mountains.

The setting was gorgeous for unwinding and hiking – really a place to let your soul relax. We were happy overall, but wish there had been an outdoor seat that didn’t require climbing stairs.

Mrs. Herta was warm and welcoming, even helping with our luggage, and the top‑floor flat had two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen/dining area with super comfy beds and fresh linens. The kitchen was well stocked and the older‑looking furniture was solid, though there’s no dishwasher – but the window view more than makes up for that.
