The location was excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating; the inn itself feels dated, but that adds to its charm.

The cool old house had all the provisions we needed, and the location was great for walking to dinner, bars, and the riverside park. The stairway to our space was a bit steep for our age, but we managed fine. Free breakfast was very continental, which was okay since we usually find great breakfast spots nearby; just don’t expect anything cooked.

Breakfast was typical continental, breads, yoghurt, coffee, juices etc. It was not fancy but perfectly fine. Location was great. Staff was great as we came a little late due to an unexpected dinner invite in Indy, and they took care of us well. Good TV (finally got to watch "Doc Martin"). Really big, comfortable bed (we had the front room). Nice jacuzzi--need after a long days walking. Nice to have a glass of wine before bed (we each got a glass at the attached wine bar). Note that this is an energetic urban neighborhood, so expect some noise at night, especially on weekends. There is a nearby train line, but no horns as it is on elevated track. It did not bother our sleep. We loved the old house feel and the Italian decor. We plan to come back
