The Teifi estuary setting is beautiful, staff are very helpful, and the large room with a balcony overlooking the river is comfortable. The continental breakfast is excellent. The lift wasn’t fully operational, but the staff did everything they could to ease the inconvenience.

The room is large, the shower is great, and the view is impressive. However, the food service was basic, with servers who seemed like school kids; a young man brought wine, poured it on the table, and when I asked him to open and pour it he said he couldn’t because he was only 17. To get water, you had to go to a station in the bar—quite odd when paying £190 for a room.
