Overall, a nice place with a perfect location and good food; we could watch zebras and giraffes from our tents, and buffaloes and impalas grazed right in the lodge’s garden. The grounds are really beautiful and well maintained. The restaurant service was excellent and the staff were genuinely helpful. The tents were cozy and we slept very well. However, the laundry facilities could have been cleaner and more comfortable. Water in the showers didn’t drain and flooded the toilet area. The checkout left a sour taste: we were asked to settle the bill, and a few numbers were typed into a phone, then we were shown an alleged amount of 140 dollars to pay. When we asked how that figure was calculated, new numbers were typed in and the total suddenly dropped to 105 dollars. Still, we couldn’t get a clear breakdown or an actual invoice. This method felt more like haggling at a market than what you’d expect at a safari lodge reception.
