Stopping at this authentically French-owned chateau was lovely; the owners worked hard to renovate it tastefully, though it would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room.

The chateau was beautifully presented in a stunning region of France, and the hosts were very helpful and attentive. The weather was extremely hot, but we slept well in a comfortable, well‑appointed room. The pool, set in a large, nice open garden surrounded by mature trees, was a delight and offered a pleasant swim; drinks were always available and there were shady spots to relax. Breakfast was really good. We enjoyed our stay here and would fully recommend the chateau. No negatives.

We spent two wonderful nights at Château d’Argentonesse in an absolutely exceptional setting, surrounded by a magnificent 25‑hectare estate that was perfectly maintained and conducive to calm and escape. The château itself is splendid, the rooms are magnificent, elegant, and impeccably clean. The pool area is superb and especially enjoyable, with every detail carefully considered to make the stay unforgettable. Breakfast is delicious, generous, and prepared with great care. A huge thank you to Jean‑Étienne and Christelle for their warm welcome, kindness, and constant attention. This is an exceptional address that we recommend without hesitation. We leave with wonderful memories and a desire to return—a true 10/10!

An Exceptional Stay in a Beautiful Château We had a wonderful stay at Château d'Argentonesse. The property is absolutely beautiful, combining historic charm with excellent renovation and modern comfort. The rooms are spacious, elegant and comfortable, and the surrounding gardens and swimming pool create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The location is perfect for exploring the Dordogne, with many of the region’s beautiful villages, castles and attractions within easy reach. A special mention must go to the hosts, Christelle and Jean-Étienne, who were exceptionally warm, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was wonderful, . The attention to detail throughout the property was impressive. A truly special place that we would highly recommend.
